About Cuc Phuong
Cúc Phương National Park is located 120 km south of Hanoi, 45 km northwest of Ninh Bình city, 120 km southeast of Hòa Bình town, and 60 km northwest of Thanh Hóa city. With a total area of 22,408 hectares, this site is famous for its enchanting natural beauty and diverse ecosystem.
Cúc Phương is home to 118 rare species, 11 endemic species, and hundreds of valuable plant species, including 433 medicinal plants, 229 edible plants, and many species used for dyes. The park's rich animal life includes 659 species, such as fish, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals. Notably, the insect world here is incredibly diverse, with 1,899 species, the most striking of which are 400 vibrant butterfly species, such as swallowtail butterflies, common mormons, and hawk moths.
